Kia ora e te whānau,
I hope you have enjoyed the last long weekend for a wee while. It was nice to see the sun peaking the clouds once again. Today’s newsletter is just a short one directed at our students, so please pass the following messages on to your young person!
Firstly, welcome back if you are returning and welcome to all of the new people joining us this year. 2023 has seen our school populate explode with over 900 students for the first time in ASHS history. At last count there appears to be 943 of you attending ASHS this year.
This newsletter is just a reminder that our start dates for each level are below. Year 13s and Year 12s please meet in the theatre at 9.00 sharp. Year 11s please assemble by the gymnasium by 8.50 on Thursday ready for a 9.00 start.
You will receive a printout of your timetable in Tutorial after we have a brief welcome. If you have a clash we can sort it on the day and there is an opportunity to request course changes at the end of the day. Note – you are not able to request teacher or line changes. Please bring your laptop and maybe some refill and a pen. We don’t have a stationery list beyond that but if you do need anything else your teachers will let you know on the first day.
