About Me
I am passionate about encouraging curiosity, autonomy, and critical thinking. Therefore, it is a privilege to teach in a school that promotes healthy debate, encourages critical thinking, fosters resilience, and facilitates mastery. When we allow students to explore their interests, celebrate their diversity, and take responsibility for their own learning, we create lifelong learners and good human beings.Kevin Harvey
Specialist Subject Leader Geography, Social Sciences & Travel & Tourism
About Me
Having grown up in rural Africa I enjoy the outdoors. Geography is a passion as I believe that we all have a responsibility to promote geo-literacy (interactions, interconnections & implications). Ultra-distance trail running is another passion. I have been fortunate to complete the Kepler Challenge mountain run over a number of consecutive years. A happy place is any trail in any weather conditions.Katherine Mathis

About Me
One of the core things I value is thinking, both in learning and in life. In learning, I teach Classics, History and Psychology (amongst other things) and lead the Rewarewa/Karaka community. In life, I still study, I play cricket (badly) and enjoy running and mountain-biking, I read a lot, and like to spend time with my family.Wendy McDonald
History
About Me
My favourite subject at school and university was history and I spent 10 years living in London and travelling and exploring the world. I believe history matters and it is even more relevant today when we see the Black Lives Matter protests around the world. Through studying history we can begin to comprehend the factors that cause change. Make sure you sign up for history next year!
