About Me
I have been working as a School Administrator since 1989. I started by setting up a Financial Service Centre for West Auckland schools in 1989, moved to Auckland Grammar as the Accountant, spent a few years working in the Ministry of Education as the Auckland Regional Financial Advisor and then as part of the team that built Albany Senior High School. A very rewarding career!Debbie Sapsford

About Me
I have been a support staff worker at ASHS since 2010. I work mainly in the library assisting the Librarian, Sharon. I have a passion for creating displays that inspire life-long learning and an excitement for reading. I am also responsible for putting on the coffee in the staffroom first thing in the morning (a most important job) as well as maintaining the photocopiers, stationery supplies and resources for staff.Jane Coenen
Database, Attendance Officer
About Me
Working in the wonderful world of education is both exhilarating, energetic and excellent. I have been lucky enough to be a part of ASHS as the Database Manager for 5 years now. Every day is different from the last one and I enjoy the challenge and brilliant team that I work alongside. ASHS is such a vibrant place with brilliant opportunities for both students and staff. For someone interested in the outdoors, sports, reading, crafts and competing in virtually anything…this is the place to be.Jake Griffiths
Director of Sports
About Me
Sport has played a massive role in my life and through those experiences I have learnt a lot. I joined ASHS at the start of this year with the goal to grow the sports programme by eliminating barriers that our young people face. We are taking a holistic approach to the well-being of our student athletes and hope that they get the chance to develop in all areas of sport along the way. Personally I spend my spare time outdoors on the water, rowing, fishing, surfing and competing for Orewa surf life saving club.Sharon Jackson

About Me
My twenty plus year career in public libraries spanned many communities in Auckland from Onehunga to Avondale. The switch to school libraries in 2009 is one that I have never regretted. I love engaging and sharing with students and the school community, my passion for libraries, lifelong learning, and the enjoyment of reading for pleasure. My goal is for our students to have the tools and skills to be information literate and be effective information navigators.
