We are seeking a hard materials teacher who loves practical learning and wants to inspire students through meaningful, real-world projects.

You may come from a building and construction background or from product design, engineering, or another related field. What matters most is your passion for hands-on learning and helping young people succeed. 

There are leadership opportunities available for the right candidate who is keen to grow and contribute more broadly.

In this role you will:

• Teach NCEA Levels 1-3, no junior year levels
• Deliver engaging, hands-on project-based program
• Build students’ confidence with tools, materials, and industry practices
• Have the flexibility and autonomy to bring your unique teaching style and innovation to the teaching programs

You will have strong support, including:

• Well-resourced workshops (wood, metal, welding, digital fabrication)
• A skilled workshop technician to assist with preparation and materials
• A collaborative and positive staff culture
